Ryukyu Tatami, Saien, Plain Weave, No Border
A new Japanese-style tatami mat surface that uses a simple and modern plain weave. Machine-spun washi paper is rolled into rope and coated with resin. Compared to rush grass, there is little risk of mold or fading, and it is easy to maintain. When rearranging dressers or furniture, discoloration of tatami mats can be a concern. "Healthy Surface" hardly discolors or fades, and maintains its beauty even in rigorous experiments where it is exposed to ultraviolet rays for long periods of time.
